Problem Child
by George F. Walker
A struggling addict (Denise) and ex con (RJ) lose their child to the system. Their social worker (Helen) is reluctant to proceed with the battle for custody and questions their abilities to be parents. The motel manager (Phillie) finds himself swept up in the middle and struggles with his need to help give justice to fellow low class citizens. How far are Denise and RJ willing to go to get their daughter back? Can Helen put aside personal feelings and help this family become one? Will Phillie carry out his righteous need?

Problem Child is a story about love, humanity, and challenges the idea of justice and morality. George F. Walker is masterful in his ability to shine well earned humor in even the darkest of times and brings his audience eye level with the characters for a deeply rich experience. Problem Child was first produced by Rattle Stick Productions, New York, September 1997.

Director
William Bremer
My name is William Bremer. I'm an actor and director trained at the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio, and the Director of Problem Child. I am excited to help tell this beautiful story about justice - does it exist, can we let ourselves and each other have it? I was most recently seen on stage as Alex in A Bright New Boise at the Stephanie Feury Theater and Mike in The Memory of Water at the Actor's Company.
